Understanding Your Account

When you first log in, you'll land on your Dashboard - your home base for all HeartLib activities. Think of this as mission control for your cosmic journey.

  • Welcome message with your name
  • Quick access cards to main features
  • Your connection list (people you've matched with)
  • Important notifications and updates
MY PROFILE - Your Cosmic Identity (CRITICAL FIRST STEP)

Location: Main menu → "My Profile"

Why this matters: Your profile is the foundation of everything on HeartLib. An incomplete profile means inaccurate matches and missed connections.

1. Basic Information

  • Display Name: How you want others to see you
  • Birth Date: 🚨 MOST IMPORTANT FIELD - Your birth date determines your cosmic signature. Use your REAL birth date. Fake dates = fake matches.
  • Gender: Male, Female, or Non-Binary
  • Location: City, Region, and Country

2. About Me Section

  • Headline: Your one-line introduction
  • About Me: Tell your story! What makes you unique?

Pro Tip: Be authentic. Mention interests, values, and what kind of connection you seek.

3. Photos - Your Visual Story 📸

This is where most users struggle. Here's how to do it right:

Profile Photo (Main Photo):
  • Should be a clear, recent photo of your face
  • Good lighting, genuine smile
  • No sunglasses, no group photos
  • This is what people see first - make it count!
Gallery Images (6 additional photos):
  • Upload 6 photos that tell your story
  • Mix of activities, interests, and personality
  • Examples: traveling, hobbies, with friends, favorite places
  • Why 6 photos matter: People want to see the real you before connecting
How to Upload Photos:
  1. Go to My Profile
  2. Scroll to the "Photos" section
  3. Click "Upload" on each slot
  4. Select a photo from your device
  5. Photos appear instantly

4. Preferences - Who You're Seeking

  • Seeking Gender: Male, Female, Non-Binary, or Any
  • Age Range: Set minimum and maximum age (e.g., 25-35)
  • Seeking Location: Where you'd like to find matches
  • Seeking Traits: Describe your ideal match's personality

5. Privacy Settings

  • Discoverable in Search: Toggle ON to appear in matchmaker results
  • Allow Birthdate Reveal: Toggle ON to let matches see your full birth date

Verification Process (Step-by-Step):

Step 1: Start Verification
  • Click "Start Verification" button
  • You'll be redirected to Stripe Identity (secure verification partner)
Step 2: Choose Document
  • Upload government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, or national ID)
  • Must be valid and not expired
Step 3: Take Selfie
  • The system will ask for a live selfie to match your ID
  • Good lighting, remove glasses if needed
Step 4: Confirm Birth Date
  • System extracts birth date from ID
  • If it matches your profile, you're verified instantly
  • If it doesn't match, you'll need to update your profile
Step 5: Get Your Badge
  • Blue verification badge appears on your profile
  • Others see you're verified in search results

⚠️ Important: The birth date from your ID becomes your LOCKED birth date. It cannot be changed without re-verification.
